With the prosperous development of cultural performances in recent years,The Interactive Floor LED screen has become the new "darling" of stage design. Between the designer's whimsy, the smart floor tile LED screen brings people excellent visual enjoyment.

The LED floor tile screen is a personalized LED display specially designed for the ground. Compared with the traditional LED display, the LED floor tile screen has been specially designed in terms of load-bearing, protective performance, and heat dissipation performance, so that it can adapt to high-intensity pedaling and long-time normal operation

As the technology continues to mature, on the basis of the LED floor tile screen, there are equipment such as pressure sensors, capacitive sensors or infrared sensors. When a person moves on the floor tile screen, the sensor can sense the position of the person and trigger information feedback give it to the main controller, and then the main controller logically judges and outputs the corresponding display effect, which is the hot LED interactive floor tile screen.

1.The hardware for the floor screen

(1) :the module of the LED floor screen

Comparing with the traditional LED display screen, the dancing floor display needs higher technology.

a. High Quality LED

High quality and high contrast Nationstar and Kinglight LED lamp are used to ensure the LED dancing floor display has excellent stability, wide viewing angle and good color consistency, which can meet the requirements of high clarity, high refresh rate, high gray, high brightness and low failure rate. Unique spot atomization treatment for the LED eliminate the phenomenon of molars completely;Over 13bit gray scale makes the brightness achieve 4500cd/sqm with clear and vivid screen performance.

b.High Wear-resistance Mask

The mask is made of high wear resistant resin mask or frosted glasswhich  can  resist  long -term  use  and  step.  If  the  module   work  with  good  cabinet,  the  screen  can  bear  up  to  1-2  tons/sqm.   For some good quality modules, the mask and the bottom shell are seamlessly assembled. There is no screw hole on the surface. Waterproof rubber ring is placed around the mask. It is waterproof, antiskid, wear-resistant and scratch resistant.


c.Customized Module Size

The dancing floor display mainly adopts customized structure design,standard module size: 250X250X 18mm (WXHXD). The gap between modules is less than 2mm,reaching the final purpose of seamless splicing.

d. IC

The constant current driver chip and input buffer chip are used to connect the LED control system to display video animation, image and text information.

e.  Good  Heat  Dissipation  Structure

Heat  dissipation  structure  and  simple  structure  design,  easy  to  maintain  and  install .  People  only  need  one  tool  to  maintain.

(2).Cabinets of the Dancing Floor LED Display


At present, the dancing floor led cabinet on the market is mainly divided into cold rolled steel Cabinet and Die-cast aluminum cabinet according to the different materials and production process.


a. Cold rolled steel led cabinet is slightly large and heavy, the advantages are high strength and affordable price.  The disadvantages are poor accuracy, may be rusty after being used for a long time, heavy weight, not convenient and suitable to move frequently, so it is generally used for fixed permanent installation purpose.    


b. The Die-cast aluminum cabinet has been fully optimized and updated in terms of structure and performance, lighter than traditional cold rolled steel cabinet and have a reasonable structure.  Adopting the one-time molding process of the mold, the flatness of the cabinet is more guaranteed, the tolerance range is effectively controlled, the splicing accuracy between the cabinets is more higher, besides the assemble and disassembly are extremely convenient. The price is more expensive than the cold rolled steel Cabinet, around 15%.  So it is mostly used for stage performances, commercial activities and other rental occasions, to facilitate disassembly, installation and transportation.


c. The common led cabinet sizes for the dancing floor led display are 500*500mm and 500*1000mm. The size of the cold rolled steel cabinet can be customized according to customer needs. However due to the high mold opening fee and MOQ requirements, die-cast aluminum cabinet has a relatively fixed size.



(3).Adjustable Stand Base

The stand base is generally made of die-casting aluminum alloy material with high strength and good corrosion resistance, with strong load-bearing capacity. The stand base height is adjustable. The floor tile screen with adjustable stand base does not have high requirements on the ground of the installation site, so it can be installed without professional installation personnel, which saves time in installation. The dancing floor display are suitable for various usage, like fixed installation or rental purpose. Maintenance can be put forward from the single box on the screen surface.


The dancing floor led screen cable is made of flame-retardant material, has good toughness, which can prevent mice from biting. The led cabinets are connected by aviation plugs, with high professional protection level, safety and reliability, good anti-noise and electromagnetic interference performance, not afraid of rain moisture and other bad external environment, plugging is convenient and quick, can effectively ensure long-term stable operation.

2. The control system of LED dance floor screen


(1) The common control system for LED dance floor display screen

If the dance floor screen does not require an interactive systemit can actually use a common control system, such as Novastar and Linsn, What we mainly consider is the load-bearing problem of the dance floor screen and the waterproof problem of outdoor installation.The following figure is the installation diagram of common floor tile screen.

(2) The choice of LED interactive floor screen

As the technology continues to mature, on the basis of LED floor screens, LED interactive floor screens have been produced. It is equipped with a pressure sensor or infrared sensor. When a person moves on the LED floor screen, the sensor can sense the person's position and feedback the trigger information to the main controller, and then the main controller outputs the corresponding display effect after logical judgment. Compared with the traditional LED floor screen, the LED interactive floor screen has a great visual impact. For example, when a person walks on a floor tile screen, water ripples and flowers blooming can appear under the feet. Next, let's learn about the LED interactive floor screen:


a. The principle of the interactive LED floor screen system:

The operating principle of the interactive LED floor screen system is to capture the foot movement of the target image (such as the participant) through the LED floor screen (induction chip),  and then use the image analysis and system analysis to generate the captured person or object motion. The operation data combined with the real-time image interactive system enables the participants to have a closely integrated real-time interactive effect with the LED interactive floor screen.

b. The composition of the interactive LED floor screen system:

The first part: the signal acquisition part

capture and display according to the interactive demand, the capture equipment includes sensor chip, video camera, camera, etc.;

The second part: the signal processing part

this part analyzes the data collected in real-time, and the generated data is connected with the virtual scene system;

The third part: the imaging part

using interactive materials and floor tile display equipment to present the image in a specific location, and the LED floor tile screen can be used as the carrier of interactive image display;

Part 4: Auxiliary equipment

such as transmission lines, installation components, interactive master control, computers, engineering wiring audio devices, etc.


c. The Features of the interactive LED floor screen system:

(3)The difference between the interactive LED floor screen and the traditional floor screen:

a. The difference in control software

The traditional LED floor screen is on the playback side, and only ordinary playback software is needed to play the video source, and there is no need to accept other signals. The interactive LED floor screen can not only play but also accept the position coordinate information of the interactive point returned from the display screen. After receiving the position coordinate information, the control software can call different coordinates according to the received coordinate information. The program file and video file stop playing.

b. The difference in the data transmission direction.

The data of the traditional LED floor screen is mainly transmitted from the control end to the display end, which is basically one-way. The interactive LED floor screen adds data return, which is a two-way transmission.

c. The difference in the screen display

The traditional floor screen only plays a display role, while the interactive LED floor screen also needs to sense, collect, and transmit the coordinate information of the interactive point of the interactive audience to locate the interactive point. This is the most important and critical center of the interactive LED display.



3. The installation of dance floor LED screen

Every cabinet has two location holes,The locating pin of the floor tractor is used to block the hole position on the box structure

(1) Floor Pallet Installation

a. Put the 110mm*110mm Floor Pallet into

the cabinet hole

b. Put the positive direction of the cabinet 

upward on the plane of the positioning

column of the bottom bracket to support it

c. The cabinet on the edge shall not be extended outside when the bottom bracket is installed to avoid collision during subsequent decoration.

d. Two locating columns are exposed to facilitate the installation and use of the next row of cabinet, and the installation height and flatness are adjusted

e. Find out and align the hidden power line and signal line,

and prepare for docking with the next cabinet


The usage of connection plate

a. the cabinets on both sides of the floor LED screen are placed in the hole position with the bottom pallet positioning column, otherwise it is easy to produce unevenness

b .In the power supply system, a group of power supply requirements must be calculated, and the power is too large to exceed the use power


(2) Rail Installation


a. Make the guide rail structure of LED floor  screen and lie on the ground and reinforce with cement paste.

b. Thumb lock is used to connect the rail and rail,connect and fix the rail to prevent falling off.


c. Clamp the cabinet positioning post in the track slot and extend the power extension line and signal extension line.


d. The signal wires and power wires connected between the cabinet body and the cabinet body shall be aligned in order to prevent falling off

e. Arrange and install the installed boxes in turn, and finish the binding around



(3) Doing a good job in the maintenance of the LED floor tile screen can extend the utilization rate

The LED floor screen is a new type of display device. Compared with traditional display methods, it has the advantages of long service life, high brightness, fast response speed, long viewing distance, and strong adaptability to the environment. The user-friendly design makes the LED floor screen easy to install and maintain, and can be used flexibly anytime and anywhere. How to  maintain the LED floor  screen usually?

a. The LED floor screen should keep the environment dry. It is strictly prohibited to enter water, iron powder and other easily conductive metal objects in the screen. Powering on large LED screens containing humidity will cause corrosion of parts and components, which will cause permanent damage. Rainproof measures should be adopted.

b. To avoid possible problems, we can choose passive protection and active protection, try to keep the items that may cause damage to the LED floor screen away from the screen, and when cleaning the screen, wipe it as gently as possible to reduce the possibility of damage is minimized.

C. It is also very necessary to do a good job in cleaning and maintenance. Long-term exposure to outdoor environments such as wind, sun, dust, etc. will easily become dirty. After a period of time, the screen will definitely be dusty. This needs to be cleaned in time to prevent the dust from wrapping the surface for a long time to affect the viewing effect.
