Attenuation characteristics
Generally, LED display screens need to work for a long time, which will cause their brightness to decrease and the color of the display screen to be inconsistent. This is all caused by the brightness attenuation of LED devices. The attenuation of LED brightness causes the brightness of the entire LED display screen to decrease. The inconsistent attenuation amplitude of the red, blue and green LED brightness leads to inconsistent colors of the LED display screen, that is, the phenomenon of display screen flower screen. A high-quality LED display screen can well control the height attenuation amplitude and adjust its brightness.
Brightness
The brightness of the lamp beads of the LED display screen is a key factor in determining the height of the display screen. The higher the LED brightness, the greater the surplus current, which is beneficial to saving power and maintaining the stability of the LED. If the chip has been determined, the smaller the LED angle, the brighter the LED brightness. If the viewing angle of the display is small, a 100-degree LED should be selected to ensure that the LED display has sufficient viewing angle. For LED displays with different dot spacing and different viewing distances, it is necessary to consider the brightness, angle and price to find a balance.
Viewing angle
The angle of the LED lamp beads determines the viewing angle of the LED display. At present, most outdoor LED displays use elliptical SMD LED lamp beads with a horizontal viewing angle of 120 degrees and a vertical viewing angle of 70 degrees, and indoor LED displays use SMD LED lamp beads with a vertical viewing angle of 120 degrees. For example, the LED display on the highway uses a circular LED with a viewing angle of 30 degrees. The LED display on the high-rise building has a higher vertical viewing angle requirement, and a large viewing angle reduces the brightness. Therefore, the choice of viewing angle is determined by the specific purpose.
Failure rate
The full-color LED display is composed of tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of pixels composed of red, green and blue LEDs. The failure of any color LED will cause the overall visual effect of the LED display.
Consistency
The full-color LED display is composed of pixels composed of countless red, blue and green LEDs. The brightness and wavelength of each color LED play a decisive role in the brightness, white balance consistency, and brightness consistency of the LED display. LEDs have angles, so full-color LED displays also have angle directionality, that is, when viewed from different angles, their brightness will increase or decrease. The angle consistency of red, green, and blue LEDs seriously affects the white balance consistency at different angles, affecting the color fidelity of the LED display video. To achieve the consistency of the brightness changes of red, green, and blue LEDs at different angles, scientific design must be carried out in the packaging lens design and raw material selection, which depends on the technical level of the supplier. When the angle consistency of the LED is not good, the white balance effect of the entire LED display at different angles is very pessimistic.
Lifespan
The average lifespan of an LED display is 100,000 hours. As long as the quality of the LED device is good, the working current is appropriate, the heat dissipation design is reasonable, and the production process of the LED display is rigorous, the LED device is one of the most durable devices in the LED display. The price of LED devices accounts for 70% of the price of LED displays, so the quality of LED displays is determined by LED devices.
Size
The size of the LED device is also very important, and it directly affects the pixel distance of the LED display, that is, the resolution. Generally, 5mm elliptical lamps are used for outdoor display screens above p16, and 3mm elliptical lamps are used for outdoor display screens of p12.5, p12, and p10. When the spacing remains unchanged, increasing the size of LED devices can increase their display area and reduce the graininess.
