As the usage rate of LED display in the market increases, the area is getting larger and larger, and the power consumption of LED screen is also a problem that users are increasingly concerned about. As a new type of display technology, LED screens are known for their high brightness and high energy saving. They are displayed through small light-emitting diodes inside. Compared with other display products, they are relatively energy-saving, but if your display screen is large and colorful, it consumes 300-500W per square meter.
If it is a monochrome LED screen, the power consumption per square meter is about 150-200W per hour, which is also related to your display method. The maximum power consumption of outdoor LED display (full color) is about 800W/square meter, that is, when this outdoor LED display reaches the maximum power (peak) every moment, the power consumption per square meter per hour will be 0.8 kWh.
Calculation of power consumption of LED screen: Generally, the maximum power consumption is calculated first according to the number of points. LISN LED recommends that you choose a qualified and reliable power supply as an important part of the power supply system, which has a significant improvement effect on the energy saving effect and service life of the LED display screen. If the area of the LED display is relatively large, an energy-saving design can be adopted. There are two design methods:
1. Equip the LED display with a multi-function card and a light sensor so that the LED display can automatically adjust its brightness according to the outdoor light intensity to achieve energy saving.
2. Use common cathode energy saving design, energy-saving IC and low-voltage power supply. According to the formula P=UI, because the screen body LED display is a constant current drive, that is, the current is constant, the voltage is reduced, and the power is reduced.
Learn the above two tricks, customers can easily solve the problem of LED display power saving!
