The control system of the LED display generally has two main types: synchronous system and asynchronous system.
LED display synchronization system: As the name suggests, the synchronous system is completely synchronized with the content on the computer monitor. Whatever content is displayed on the display screen, the LED display screen will display the same content. Of course, it can be the entire or partial content of the display screen. The core key is to update and synchronize the content information specified by the computer in real time. Therefore, if the computer is turned off, the communication between the computer and the display screen is interrupted, and the information is not sent to the display screen, then the LED display screen will not be displayed. This kind of LED synchronization system is mainly used in places with high real-time requirements.
LED display asynchronous system: As the name suggests, the asynchronous system means that the information does not need to be updated synchronously in real time, and does not need to be synchronized with the content on the computer monitor. The principle of the LED asynchronous system is to edit the content to be played on the computer first, and then send it to the control card of the LED display through the transmission medium (network cable, data cable, 3G/4G network, WIFI, USB flash drive, etc.), and then the control card will display it. Therefore, even if the computer is turned off, the display can display the pre-set content, which is suitable for places where real-time requirements are not high.
So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of these two control methods? Let's analyze it briefly below.
Advantages and disadvantages of LED display synchronous control system: The advantage is that it can play in real time and the amount of playback information is not limited. The disadvantage is that the playback time will be subject to certain restrictions and will change with the playback time of the computer system. Once the communication with the computer is interrupted, the LED display will stop playing.
Advantages and disadvantages of LED display asynchronous control system: The advantage is that it can realize offline playback and storage information. The playback information is stored in the control card in advance. The disadvantage is that it cannot be synchronized with the computer, and the amount of playback information will be subject to certain restrictions. The reason is that the storage capacity of the control card has a certain range and cannot be unlimited. Storage, which leads to the limitation of the amount of playback information of the asynchronous control system.
