The first step to moisture-proof the LED display is to ensure that the LED module has moisture-proof function.
The LED module needs to be dry and ventilated. When storing, it should be raised with pallets or other objects and should not be directly in contact with the ground.
A temperature and humidity monitor is installed in the storage environment. The ambient humidity is controlled below 60%RH. The LED module is very comfortable.
When storing the unsealed LED module (unit board), it needs to be repackaged and put in appropriate desiccant.
If the LED module is stored for more than 1 month, the module should be aged for 6 hours before use: full brightness is set to 10%/1 hour, full brightness is set to 30%/1 hour, full brightness is set to 60%/2 hours, full brightness is set to 80%/1 hour, and full brightness is set to 100%/1 hour. After completing 6 hours of aging, it can be used for full screen assembly.
Moisture-proof method for outdoor LED screens:
Moisture-proof for outdoor fixed display screens
A temperature and humidity monitor is installed at the installation site of the outdoor LED display screen to monitor the humidity around the screen in time;
On the first rainy day or after heavy rain after the screen is installed, check whether there is moisture, water droplets, water vapor, etc. inside in time;
Under the environmental humidity of 10%-85%RH, the screen should be turned on at least once a day, and the display screen should work normally for more than 2 hours each time;
When the environmental humidity is higher than 90%RH or when the south wind is coming back, the use environment of the screen should be dehumidified, and the display screen should be ensured to work normally for more than 4 hours a day.
2. Moisture-proof for outdoor rental screens
When the outdoor rental LED display screen is in use, it must be turned off immediately when it rains. If there is no time to dismantle the screen, quickly cover it with a rainproof cloth prepared in advance, and take out the box to dry it on a sunny day. If it is rainy and cloudy, open the back cover of the box and use a fan to blow dry with cold air. Then place it in a ventilated and dry room for more than 8 hours. Lower the brightness to ensure that it is lit for more than 4 hours to fully dissipate the moisture in the electronic components.
Moisture-proof method for indoor LED screens:
1. Moisture-proof for indoor fixed display screens
Under an ambient humidity of 10%-65%RH, the display screen should be turned on at least once a day, and each time it should be ensured to work normally for more than 4 hours;
When the ambient humidity is higher than 65%RH or when the weather turns south, the screen environment should be dehumidified, and the display screen should be ensured to work normally for more than 8 hours a day; the relevant doors and windows should be closed at night to prevent moisture from returning at night and causing damage to the screen.
2. Moisture-proof indoor rental led screens
After each use, they should be immediately packed into air transfer boxes for sealed storage;
In each air transfer box, there must be a desiccant or moisture-absorbing bag of no less than 50g; and the desiccant or moisture-absorbing bag should be checked for failure regularly and replaced every 2 months;
Under an ambient humidity of 10%-65%RH, the display screen should be taken out and lit up for more than 2 hours every half a month;
When the ambient humidity exceeds 65%RH or it encounters a south wind day, the display screen should be taken out and lit up for more than 2 hours a week;
During the rental and use of the screen, the screen should be prevented from being exposed to rain or water. If it is not seriously exposed to water, the water should be wiped off in time and blown dry with a hair dryer. At the same time, the screen should be placed for 2 hours before being lit up for 2 hours;
It is strictly forbidden to use indoor rental screens as outdoor rental screens, especially in open-air environments;
In short, whether indoors or outdoors, the most effective way to prevent moisture from damaging the function of the display screen is to use it frequently. The working display screen itself will generate some heat, which can evaporate some water vapor, thus greatly reducing the possibility of short circuit caused by moisture. Therefore, the display screen that is frequently used is much less affected by humidity than the display screen that is seldom used.
