How to calculate the sending card and receiving card of LED display

   Calculation method of indoor full-color LED display sending card and receiving card: 

For example: Now the customer has customized a P10 indoor full-color display screen, requiring a length of 20 meters and a height of 10 meters.

1. Calculate how many modules are used. The unit board size of the P10 display screen is: 32cm*16cm.

The number of modules used for length: 2000cm/32cm=62.5

The number of modules used for width is 1000cm/16cm=62.5

2. Calculate the resolution of length and width:

(The pixel of the P10 indoor unit board is: 32*16)

The actual resolution of the display screen is: length: 32×63=2016 width: 16×63=1008

3. Calculate the number of receiving cards.

(Indoor screen receiving card 256*128)

Length: 2016÷256=7.875, approximately equal to 8

Width: 1008÷128=7.875, approximately equal to 8

8×8+1=65 receiving cards (one more receiving card)

4. Calculate the number of sending cards

(Lingxingyu's sending card is 1280*1024)

2016÷1280=1.575, approximately equal to 2

1008÷1024=0.98 approximately equal to 1

1×2=2 sending cards.

    Calculation method of sending and receiving cards for outdoor full-color LED display:

For outdoor full-color LED display, we can calculate according to the number of cabinets. One receiving card can be used for one or two cabinets, one card for one cabinet or one card for two cabinets. For government projects, one card is used for one cabinet, and for others, one card is used for two cabinets. For example: The customer customized a P10 outdoor full-color display screen, requiring a length of 20 meters and a height of 12 meters.

A P10 cabinet with a size of 96cm*96cm was selected, and it can be concluded that:

Number of cabinets required for length: 20÷0.96=20.8

Number of cabinets required for width: 12÷0.96=12.5 1. Calculate the number of receiving cards.

Number of cabinets: 21×13+1=274

Government projects: 273 receiving cards

General projects: 273÷2+1=138 receiving cards

Note: All of the above require an extra receiving card

2. Calculate the resolution:

According to the above calculation method, take the integer, 21 cabinets for length and 13 cabinets for width.

The actual resolution of the display is:

Length: 21×960=2016 Width: 13×960=1248

3. Calculate the number of sending cards (Lingxingyu's sending card is 1280*1024)

2016÷1280=1.58 is approximately equal to 2

1248÷1024=1.22 is approximately equal to 2,

2×2=4 sending cards

Summary: In general, the receiving card is calculated based on the display resolution indoors and the number of boxes (one card per box or one card per two boxes) outdoors. As for the sending card, it is calculated based on the screen resolution indoors and outdoors.
